Beetroot with Onion fry

  • 1 cup grated Beetroot
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chillies onions, curry leaves and stir-fry till the onions become soft.
  2. Then add grated beetroot, turmeric powder, salt and stir, sprinkle little water and mix well.
  3. Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame until done, when done remove the lid and let it cook for 1 min.
  4. Now beetroot curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and roti.
