Palli Rice / Peanut Rice With Leftover Rice

  • 1 cup cooked Rice/Leftover Rice
  • handful Ground nuts / Peanuts
  • 1 Green Chilli slit lengthwise
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1/4 tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Ghee / Oil


  1. Heat ghee in a kadai add chana dal, mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilli and fry, once done add peanuts and stir well on low flame.
  2. When it become slightly golden brown in color, now add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for 30 secs, then turn of the flame.
  3. Add it to cooked rice with enough salt and mix very well, peanut rice is ready, serve with chutney or pappula podi.
