Upma With Semolina / Suji Upma - how to prepare Bombay Rava Upma

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bombay Rava
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • 3 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 5 sp Oil
  • 1 sp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
  2. When the onions turn transparent add 3 cups of water and salt, once the water starts boiling pour semolina and mix well.
  3. Cook it on low flame with cover, until all the water absorbs, then add 1 sp ghee and mix it well and cover with a lid.
  4. Turn of heat and let it leave for two mins with cover, transfer into a serving bowl, now upma is ready, serve with chutney or chutney powder along with ghee
