Poha Soya Granules Upma / Beaten Rice Upma With Soya Granules

  • 11/2 cup Thick Poha/Atukulu/ Flatten Rice
  • 1/2 cup Soya Granules
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/4 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Wash and soak soya granules in hot water for 5 mins and then drain well.
  2. wash and soak poha for 2 mins, then squeeze out extra water from it & set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chilli, onion pieces, curry leaves and fry till onion turns soft.
  4. Then add soya granules and stir well, cook for a while then add soaked poha, salt and mix well.
  5. Allow it to cook for a couple of mins on low flame, once done turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
  6. Now poha soya granules upma is ready to serve, serve hot
