Suji Upma With Potato Carrot / Aloo Carrot Upma - Upma Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semolina / Sooji / Bombay Rava
  • 1/2 Carrot cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 Potato cut into small pieces
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 cups Water
  • Salt
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a khadai add popu ingredients & fry for 2 mins.
  2. When they splutter add curry leaves, chopped onion and stir.
  3. Once done add carrot, aloo pieces and fry for 2 mins, next add chopped tomato & cook for a couple of mins.
  4. Then add 3 cups of water, salt and bring it to a boil, once the water starts boiling, pour the suji and stir well.
  5. Cover & cook on low flame until all the water absorbs.
  6. Turn off heat and let it leave for 2 or 3 mins with cover.
  7. Suji carrot, potato upma is ready, serve hot with chutney or chutney powder and ghee.
