Dosa Pindi - How to prepare Dosa Batter

  • 1 cup Urad Dal
  • 4 cups Rice
  • 1/4 cup Poha/Atukulu/Beaten Rice
  • Salt to taste


  1. Wash, soak urad dal and rice in separate bowls.
  2. Wash and soak poha in a bowl separately.
  3. Grind urad dal, rice & poha into a thick & smooth paste.
  4. Mix them well and allow it for fermenting overnight.
  5. Next day morning stir the batter with enough salt.
  6. Add enough water for pouring consistency like dosa batter.
  7. Now dosa batter is ready to prepare dosa.
