Spinach Masala Chapathi / Palak Masala Roti - how to prepare Spinch Masala Roti

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Palakura/Spinach
  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala
  • 2 sp Wheat flour for dusting
  • Salt to taste
  • enough Water
  • 2 sp Oil/Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add onion, green chilli pieces and fry for a while.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 secs on low flame.
  3. Next add chopped palak, garam masala and stir well.
  4. Cook for a couple of mins then add enough water and salt.
  5. Once the water starts boiling, pour wheat flour & mix well, then turn off the flame.
  6. Let it cool for some time then make a dough, leave it for 15 mins with cover.
  7. Divide the dough into small balls. Flatten one ball of the dough with your hand.
  8. Roll out the ball into a thin round with the help of a rolling pin.
  9. Heat a griddle, when it hot cook chapathi on both sides with little oil/ghee.
  10. When done remove from the flame and serve. Serve with fresh curd.
