Bombai Ravva / Suji Rice Flour Murukulu / Semolina Murukulu

Total Time: 40 minutes


  • 1 cup Semolina / Suji
  • 4 cups Rice Flour
  • 2 sp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 sp Cumin Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry
  • enough Water


  1. Cook suji with three cups of water like halwa and add 2 sp of oil & keep aside.
  2. When it cool add rice flour, salt, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and mix well.
  3. Add 2 sp hot oil into the flour mixture and mix well.
  4. Now add enough water and make it a soft dough.
  5. Heat oil in a wide pan in medium flame.
  6. When hot place a fistful of dough in muruku maker & press it into hot oil.
  7. Fry them till they turn light golden brown in color.
  8. Fry 3-4 murukus at a time, once done remove from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil and allow them to cool.
  9. Now semolina murukulu are ready to serve, store in an airtight container.
