Maramaralu Tomato Upma / Puffed Rice Tomato Bath – how to make Maramaralu Tomato Bath
Ingredients
- 2 cups Borugulu/Puffed Rice
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil
Instructions
- Take a wide bowl with water and add the puffed rice, soak for a while and then squeeze out the water & keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add onion, green chilli pieces, curry leaves and saute them.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder & stir, cover with lid & cook on low flame.
- Cook until the tomatoes are soft, then add puffed rice, salt and stir well, cook on low flame with cover.
- Now borugulu tomato bath is ready, transfer into a serving bowl & garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
