Munakkaya Masala Curry / Drumstick Gravy Curry

Ingredients

  • 2 nos Munakkayalu / Drumsticks
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 pinch Inguva
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 sp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala
  • 2 sp grated Coconut
  • 5 Cashews
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 sp Oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander Leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut munakkayalu into small pieces & cook with little salt, meanwhile grind coconut, cashews into a fine paste and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add hing, onion, green chillies, curry leaves & fry, when done add ginger garlic paste and stir, fry for 30 sec.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cook, add ground paste, 1/2 cup of water and cook on low flame.
  4. Next add cooked drumstick pieces, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cook for a couple of mins & transfer into a serving bowl & garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. Munakkaya gravy curry is ready to serve, serve with rice or roti.
