Aloo Tomato Rice With Leftover Rice

  • 1 cup cooked Rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped Aloo / Potato Pieces
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 3 Green Chilles chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Elaichi pods
  • 3 Cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 sp Oil
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves


  1. Heat oil in a pan add cloves, elaichi, cinnamon and fry for 30 secs, add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and fry.
  2. When the onions are tender add ginger garlic paste and stir, add chopped aloo and stir, sprinkle little water, cover and cook.
  3. When 3/4 done add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder & mix well, let it cook for couple of mins, then add cooked rice, salt and mix well.
  4. Now aloo tomato rice is ready, garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with onion raita.
