Gutti Vankaya 2 / Stuffed Brinjal Second Method

  • 5 no Brinjals / Eggplants
  • 2 Onion roughly chopped
  • 4 or 5 Green Chillies
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil


  1. Cut brinjals into 4 pieces with out separating the stem.
  2. Grind onion, green chillies, salt & turmeric powder into a coarse paste.
  3. Stuff some amount of the ground paste into each brinjal.
  4. Now heat oil in a pan and carefully place each stuffed brinjal side by side.
  5. Cover with a flat lid and pour 1/2 cup of water on the plate.
  6. Cook on medium heat until one side is lightly browned.
  7. Then flip them carefully to other side and cook.
  8. Cook until all sides of the brinjals are soft, then remove from the flame.
  9. Transfer into a serving bowl, stuffed brinjal curry is ready to serve.
  10. Tasty tasty gutti vankaya kura is ready to serve.
