  • 11/2 cup Idly Batter
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • Salt to taste
  • little Ghee


  1. Take a bowl and add idly batter, grated carrot, salt and mix well.
  2. Grease the idly plates with little ghee and add the batter in the idly plates.
  3. Steam in a idly cooker for 10-15 mins or till the idlys are cooked.
  4. Remove the idly plates from heat and allow to cool then remove the idlis.
  5. Carrot idlys are ready to serve, serve with chutney.
