Curry Leaves Tomato Chutney / Karivepaku Tomato Pachadi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Curry Leaves
  • 2 Tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 10 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 Limesize Tamarind
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 4 Garlic Cloves (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 2 Red Chillies crocked
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash tamarind and soak it in little water for 10 mins and keep aside.
  2. Grind all the above ingredients into a coarse paste & keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry for 2 mins.
  4. When done add ground chutney to fried popu and stir.
  5. Let it cook for couple of mins on low flame & turn off the heat.
  6. Karivepaku tomato chutney is ready to serve, serve it with rice & tiffin items.
