Raw Banana Sweet And Sour Curry / Aratikaya Pulusu Bellam Kura

Ingredients

  • 1 no Aratikaya / Raw Banana
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped Lengthwise
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 sp Tamarind Pulp
  • 2 sp grated Jaggery
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli Crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel aratikaya and cut into small pieces.
  2. Cook with salt and turmeric powder & strain them.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry for 2 mins.
  4. When done add curry leaves, green chillies & fry for 30 sec.
  5. Next add tamarind pulp, little salt, jaggery and cook until the raw smell goes.
  6. Add cooked aratikaya mukkalu, red chilli powder and stir well.
  7. Cook for additional 3 to 4 minutes on low flame & remove from flame.
  8. Aratikaya pulusu bellam koora is ready to serve, serve hot with white rice.
