Radish Onion Moong Dal Fry Curry / Mullangi Ullipaya Pesara Curry

Ingredients

  • 2 nos Mullangi/Radish
  • 2 sp Moong Dal
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 or 3 Garlic Cloves crushed
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel radish and cut into small pieces, wash and soak moong dal for 10 mins.
  2. Cook radish pieces on stove top along with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Next add moong dal and cook, when it is 3/4 done, remove from fire and strain.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry for 2 mins.
  5. Add crushed garlic, curry leaves, green chillies, onions and stir.
  6. Fry it till the onions are soft then add cooked radish moon dal mixture and stir.
  7. Add red chilli powder and stir well, fry for a couple of mins then transfer into a serving bowl.
  8. Now radish moong dal onion fry curry is ready to serve, serve hot with rice.
