Onion Chapathi / Ullipaya Chapathi - how to make Onion Chapathi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sp Oil for dough mixing
  • 2 sp Wheat Flour for dusting
  • 4 sp Oil / ghee for Chapati frying

Instructions

  1. Take wheat flour into a bowl and add above ingredients and mix well.
  2. Add enough water and make a soft dough and keep it aside for 15 to 20 mins with cover.
  3. Divide the dough into lime size balls. Flatten one ball of the dough with your hand.
  4. Sprinkle some flour and then roll it out into a thin chapati.
  5. Heat a griddle, when it hot cook chapati on both sides with oil / ghee.
  6. Now onion chapati is ready to serve, serve with chutney or fresh curd.
