Ragi Khara Biscuits / Finger Millet Savory Daimond Kajalu - Millet Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ragi Flour/Finger Millet Flour
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 sp White Sesame Seeds
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sp Oil
  • 2 sp Maida for dusting
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add ragi flour, maida, salt, red chilli powder, sesame seeds, oil and mix well.
  2. Now add water to ragi flour mixture and make into a soft dough, cover this and let it rest for 20 mins.
  3. Divide the prepared dough into 2 parts, take one part and roll it into a flat chapati.
  4. Use a knife to cut the chapati into small diamond or square shapes, finish the rest of the dough & keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the namak para on low flame till they turn light brown on both sides.
  6. Remove from the hot oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining dough, now ragi pindi khara biscuits are ready.
  8. Crispy, tasty snack is ready, serve with a cup of tea/coffee.
