Onion Tomato Uttappam / Ullipaya Tomato Uttappam

  • 1 cup Dosa Batter
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for dosa frying
  • For topping ingredients :
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 green Chillies chopped
  • 2 sp chopped Coriander Leaves


  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the topping ingredients, mix with little salt, and keep aside.
  2. Heat a non-stick tawa, when the tawa is hot pour a ladleful of batter on it & spread slightly to make a small circle.
  3. Spread 1 sp of oil around the dosa and cook for 10 sec, then sprinkle the onion mixture on the top & press them lightly, cover with a lid and cook.
  4. Cook till brown, flip and cook the other side as well, now onion uttappam is ready, serve hot with ginger chutney or coconut chutney.
