Sweet Corn Gravy Curry / Makai Ki Sabji - Gravy Recipes

  • 1 small cup Sweet Corn
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • 2 sp Fresh Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander Leaves
  • for Paste :
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 4 Cashew Nuts
  • 2 sp grated fresh Coconut


  1. Wash and cook sweet corn with little salt, strain them and keep aside.
  2. Meanwhile, grind coconut, cashew nuts into a smooth paste with adding little water & remove from the jar.
  3. Grind green chillies, onion, tomatoes until smooth & set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a sauce pan add cumin seeds, hing and fry, then add chopped green chilli, ginger garlic paste and stir for 30 secs.
  5. Add ground tomato paste, red chilli, turmeric powders & stir well, cook for couple of mins, next add ground coconut paste and cook.
  6. Now add cooked sweet corn & mix well, add in half cup water, salt, coriander leaves, stir and cook for 1 min.
  7. Finely add cream, garam masala powder & mix it well, cover the pan and cook it for 2 mins on low flame, then turn off the flame.
  8. Now sweet corn gravy curry is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, chapathi or dosa.
