  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2 sp Toor Dal
  • 2 sp Chana Dal
  • 2 sp Moong Dal
  • 2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
  • 3 Green Ghillies slit lengthwise
  • 2 sp chopped Ginger
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 inches Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Elaichi pods
  • 4 Cloves
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Mint Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil


  1. Wash, soak rice and dal separately for 15 mins & keep them aside. Grind cloves, elaichi, cinnamon into a coarse powder & set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add chopped green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and stir for 30 secs, add chopped onion and fry, till they become soft.
  3. Then add soaked rice, dal, chopped coriander, mint leaves, crushed garam masala, turmeric powder & mix very well.
  4. Fry them on low-medium flame for 2 mins and turn off the flame, transfer them to a bowl and pressure cook along with salt, and 4 cups of water for 4 whistles.
  5. Now mixed dal bath is ready to serve, serve hot with sambar or fresh curd.
