Cabbage Soya Pulav / Patta Gobhi Soya Chunks Pulav

  • 11/2 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 cup chopped Cabbage
  • 1 small cup Soya Chunks
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 2" Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 4 Cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil


  1. Wash and soak soya chunks in hot water for 10 mins or till it becomes soft, after that drain them and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a khadai add cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf & stir for 30 secs, then add sliced onion, green chillies and fry until it gets light brown in color.
  3. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 min on low flame, add chopped tomatoes and stir-cook until tomatoes become soft.
  4. Now add chopped cabbage and stir, then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix well, sprinkle little water over the curry, cover and cook on medium flame for five mins.
  5. When done add soya chunks and mix it well , cook with a lid, so that the soya chunks get soaked with the spices.
  6. Lastly add in cooked rice, garam masala powder, coriander leaves and mix it well & cook for 2 mins on low flame without cover.
  7. Cabbage soya pulav is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
