Vermicelli Mango Pulihora / Semiya Mamidikaya Pulihora

  • 1 cup Semiya/Vermicelli
  • 1/4 cup grated Raw Mango/Pachi Mamidikaya
  • 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • fistful Peanuts
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • 2 Red Chillies crocked
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil


  1. In a bowl add 3 cups of water, turmeric powder, little salt, 1 sp oil & allow it to boil, when it start boiling add the vermicelli and cook for 3 to 4 mins.
  2. Once semiya is cooked turn off the flame & pour into a strainer to drain water, pour cold water over it and keep aside for cool.
  3. Heat remaining oil in pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, chopped green chillies and fry.
  4. Now add grated raw mango, enough salt & stir, cook on low flame for 1 min, then add boiled vermicelli and stir gently until it mix completely.
  5. Let it cook for one more minute, then turn off the heat, now semiya/vermicelli mango pulihora is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve hot.
