Bread Rolls With Leftover Pongal-Leftover Recipes-Snacks

Ingredients

  • 5 Bread Slices
  • 1 small cup Hot Pongal/Pappu Pongali
  • 3 sp grated Carrot
  • 1/2 Onion chopped finely
  • 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • little Salt
  • Oil for deep fry
  • 2 sp All Purpose Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add above all ingredients & mix together(except bread,oil), then make small balls and keep them aside.
  2. Take one bread slice dip it in water and take out immediately and squeeze out water thoroughly between two palms. Place one stuffing ball on it and bring both sides of the bread slice together and make it into a roll. Repeat the same with the remaining bread slices and stuffing, let it leave for 5 mins and then roll each ball in the flour.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, when hot deep fry them on both sides until they become golden brown in color.
  4. Remove from the pan & place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil, now bread rolls(with leftover pongal)are ready, serve hot with chutney or sauce.
