Elephant Yam Fry / Kanda Gadda Vepudu / Suran Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Yam Pieces
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil
  • few Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Remove the hard skin of the yam and cut them into thin slices, then wash them and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add chopped yam slices and stir-fry them on low-medium flame until light golden brown in color.
  3. Once done add salt, red chilli powder and stir, let it fry for 30 secs and remove from the pan.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with fried curry leaves and serve hot along with dal or sambar.
