Kesar Coconut Burfi - how to make Kesar Coconut Burfi

  • 1 cup grated fresh Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 pinch Kesari color/Orange Color
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder(optional)
  • few chopped Dry Fruits
  • 1/2 sp Ghee for Grease


  1. Apply ghee to a plate and keep aside, heat a khadai and add grated coconut, sugar, 1/2 cup of water and mix together & cook.
  2. Keep stirring till the mixture well cooked, then add one pinch of orange color, half of the chopped dry fruits and mix it well.
  3. Cook on low-medium flame until the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the pan.Then remove from the flame and pour onto a greased plate and spread evenly, sprinkle chopped pistas, almonds & chironji on top and press them gently. Let it leave for some time and cut it into desired pieces, now kesar coconut burfi is ready, store them in an airtight container.
