Stuffed Bhindi Fry / Gutti Bendakaya Kura

  • 12 nos Bendakayalu/Lady fingers
  • 3 sp besan/Gram Flour
  • 1/2 sp Coriander Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
  • enough Salt
  • 4 sp Oil


  1. Wash and pat dry bendakayalu and trim the head and tail, then slit lengthwise & apply little salt and keep aside.
  2. In a small bowl add besan, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, hing, 1 sp oil and mix together, now stuffing is ready.
  3. Stuff each okra with the besan mixture and keep aside, heat remaining oil in a wide pan & place them one by one and cook on low-medium flame with cover for 1 min.
  4. After that remove the lid and turn them carefully and cook on all sides till done, now stuffed bhindi fry is ready, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
