Vermicelli Dosa / How to prepare Vermicelli Dosa

  • 1 cup Semiya/Vermicelli
  • 1/4 cup Suji/Semolina
  • 1/4 cup Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp Curd/Yogurt
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 sp chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 sp chopped Ginger
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil for dosa


  1. In a mixing bowl add above ingredients (except oil) mix together, then add enough water and make it into a batter, vermicelli dosa batter is ready, keep aside for 10-15 mins.
  2. Heat a flat pan on medium heat apply little oil before pouring the batter, when hot pour a ladle full of vermicelli batter in the center & spread it carefully with back of the ladle.
  3. Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa, once it's done, turn it to the other side, apply little oil and cook on low flame for 1 min.
  4. Repeat the same with remaining vermicelli dosa batter, now simple & easy breakfast recipe semiya dosas are ready to serve, serve hot with chutney or pickle.
