Grated Cauliflower Fritters / Gobi Turumu Pakoda

  • 1 cup grated Cauliflower/Gobi Turumu
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • 4 sp Besan/Gram Flour
  • 2 sp Rice Flour
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 sp crushed Coriander Seeds
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • enough Salt
  • Oil for deep fry


  1. In a mixing bowl add above ingredients (except oil) and mix together, now add 1 sp hot oil & make a dough, if needed add little water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, when hot take small portion of the mixed cauliflower batter and drop them in the hot oil.
  3. Deep fry on medium heat until golden brown in color then remove from the hot oil and place them onto a paper towel to drain excess oil, repeat the same process with remaining batter.
  4. Now grated cauliflower pakoda is ready, garnish with fried curry leaves, green chillies and serve, serve hot with coffee/tea.
