Thotakura Soya Fry Curry / Amaranth Leaves Fry With Soya Granules

  • 2 cups chopped Thotakura/Amarnth Leaves
  • 1/4 cup Soya Granules
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 sp Fresh Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • for Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and stir. Meanwhile, wash and soak soya granules in hot water for 10 mins and keep aside.
  2. Once the onions are tender add chopped thotakura, turmeric powder and stir, cook with a lid on low flame for 2 mins, if needed sprinkle little water.
  3. After that add salt and cook for another one min, then add squeezed soya granules and stir-cook for 1 min.
  4. Now add red chilli powder, grated coconut and mix very well, cover and cook for a couple of mins. When done turn of the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
  5. Amaranth leaves soya fry curry is ready to serve, serve hot with rice or roti.
