Beetroot Dosa Recipe – Instant and healthy dosa

  • 1 small Beetroot
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 cup Maida/All purpose Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil for dosa


  1. Wash peel, cut beetroot into pieces and cook them until soft, once cooked leave it to cool, then grind them into a smooth paste and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl add rice flour, all purpose flour, salt and add ground beetroot paste & mix together, then add enough water to it and make a thin batter without lumps.
  3. Heat a tawa & grease it with little oil before pouring the batter, when hot pour a ladle full of batter on the hot tawa like rava dosa.
  4. Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa, once it's cook then turn it to the other side and cook on medium flame until done.
  5. Repeat the same process with remaining batter, now healthy breakfast beetroot dosa is ready, serve hot with chutney, pickle or chutney powder.
