  • 1 cup Ragi Flour/Finger Millet Flour/Ragi Pindi
  • 11/2 sp Moong Dal
  • 11/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 11/2 sp Toor Dal
  • 11/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 3 Red Chillies
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 pinch Hingh
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for dosa


  1. Wash dals well and soak them together for 2 hours along with red chillies, once done grind them into a coarse paste by adding water.
  2. Add ragi flour, cumin seeds, hing, salt, enough water into it and mix well, now ragi adai batter is ready, the batter should not need to be fermented.
  3. Heat a griddle with oil, when hot pour a ladle of batter over the griddle & spread it carefully with back of the ladle.
  4. Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa and cook, once it's done, turn it to the other side, apply little oil and cook on low flame until done.
  5. Repeat the same with remaining batter, now healthy breakfast recipe adai is ready, serve hot with any pickle or chutney.
