Spinach Soya Curry / Palak Fry With Soya Granules

  • 2 cups chopped Palak/Spinach
  • 1/4 cup Soya Granules
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 sp Fresh Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • for Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Wash well and soak soya granules in hot water for 10 mins and then squeeze out water and keep aside, chop palak roughly after washing the leaves well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
  3. Cook on low heat until tender then add chopped spinach, turmeric powder, salt and stir- cook with a lid on low flame for 2-3 mins, if needed sprinkle little water.
  4. Once spinach becomes soft & well cooked add squeezed soya granules and cook for 1 min, now add red chilli powder, grated coconut & mix very well, cover and cook for a couple of mins.
  5. When the curry is done turn of the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, spinach soya curry is ready to serve, serve hot with rice or roti.
