Godhuma Rava Undrallu / Bansi Rava Undrallu – How to prepare Bansi Rava Undrallu

Ingredients

  • 1 small cup Bansi Rava
  • 2 sp soaked Moong Dal
  • 2 sp grated Fresh Coconut
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 21/2 cups Water
  • 2 sp Ghee
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds and stir-fry for 30 secs then add water, salt, moong dal and bring it to a boil.
  2. When it starts boiling add bansi rava and mix well and cook completely, then add grated coconut and mix well, turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
  3. Once the mixture cools mix well and make small lemon sized balls, then place them in a greased steel vessel.
  4. In a kadai invert a small bowl and then pour 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil, then place the undralla vessel on it and steam cook for 10 mins with cover.
  5. When done turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, now wheat rava undrallu are ready for naivedyam to Lord Ganesha. Serve this undrallu with chutney or chutney powder for breakfast.
