Instant Gooseberry Coriander Leaves Chutney/Usirikaya Kothimeera Pachadi

Ingredients

  • 1 small cup chopped Amla/Gooseberry
  • fistful chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Chutney Ingredients :
  • 1 sp Coriander Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Methi Seeds
  • 5 Green Chillies
  • 3 sp Oil
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the gooseberries and chop them roughly.
  2. Heat 1 sp oil in a pan add amla pieces and fry until tender then remove from the pan & keep aside.
  3. Add 2 sp oil to the same pan add chutney ingredients and fry, once done remove from the pan & allow it to cool.
  4. Once cooled combine fried popu, fried gooseberries & grind into a coarse paste along with salt and turmeric powder, then add chopped coriander leaves and blend it well.
  5. Heat a small frying pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add it to ground chutney and mix well.
  6. Now instant amla coriander leaves chutney is ready to serve, serve with rice and ghee.

Heat 1 sp oil in a pan add amla pieces and fry until tender then remove from the pan & keep aside. Add 2 sp oil to the same pan add chutney ingredients and fry.
