Kala Chana Sundalu / Black Chickpeas Sundal/Guggillu

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Black Chickpeas/Nalla Senagalu
  • 2 sp grated Fresh Coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/8 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak dried black chickpeas overnight and then pressure cook the soaked black chickpeas for 3 whistles.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add cooked peas, salt and fry for 30 secs.
  3. Add grated coconut and stir-fry for 30 secs, then remove from the pan and transfer into a serving bowl.
  4. Now traditional recipe sundal is ready for naivedyam to Goddess Durga Devi during navratri
