  • 1 cup Poha
  • 1 cup Fresh Coconut
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 Elaichi Pods
  • 1 sp Ghee for greasing


  1. Heat a pan add poha and fry for 1 min, then grind into a coarse powder along with elaichi pods.
  2. Combine sugar and water in a pan & bring it to a boil, once the sugar dissolves completely, then add grated coconut and cook for 2 mins on medium flame.
  3. Then add poha powder and mix together and cook, keep stirring till the mixture is slightly thick then remove from flame and mix well
  4. Then transfer the poha coconut mixture onto a greased plate and spread evenly and cut it into desired pieces.
  5. Sprinkle chopped dry fruits on top and press them gently, now diwali sweet recipe poha coconut burfi is ready to serve.
