Kodo Millet Curd Bath / Arikelu Daddojanam / Kodo Millet Curd Rice – Millet Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 glass Kodo Millet/Arikelu
  • 1 cup Fresh Curd
  • 1 sp chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 sp chopped Ginger
  • enough Salt
  • 2 glasses Water
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/4 sp Urad Dal
  • 2 Red Chillies
  • 2 sp Oil
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • few Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash kodo millet/arikelu and soak for 5 and then pressure cook for 2 whistles & leaves it aside for 10 mins. Once cooled open the lid and transfer the cooked millet rice into a bowl & let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled add curd, enough salt and mix well, if needed add little water and keep aside. Meanwhile heat oil in a small frying pan add popu ingredients and fry, add curry leaves, chopped ginger, green chillies and fry for a while. then add in and mix well.
  3. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and mix well, now healthy recipe kodo millet curd rice is ready to serve, serve with any pickle.
