Besan Rava Laddu / Besan Suji Laddu – Holi Special Recipe

  • 1 cup Besan/Gram Flour
  • 1/4 cup Suji/Semolina/Rava
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 1/2 sp Elaichi Seeds
  • few chopped dry Fruits


  1. Heat a pan add rava and dry roast on low flame till the raw smell goes away, remove from the pan allow it to cool. Once cooled grind into a fine powder along with sugar & elaichi pods into a fine powder and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in the same pan, when hot add gram flour and fry- stirring continuously on low heat till it gives good aroma & turns light reddish color, then remove from the heat and allow it cool slightly, add in ground suji, sugar mixture and add remaining warm ghee.
  3. Mix well, now add chopped dry fruits and mix thoroughly with hand, take some amount of the besan suji mixture and make into small lemon sized balls. Holi special sweet besan suji laddus are ready, sprinkle with crushed pistas and serve.
