Mullangi Porial / Simple Radish Fry / Mullangi Curry

  • 1 cup grated Radish/Mullangi Turumu
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/4 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil


  1. Wash and peel the radish, then grate it and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingrediants and fry, once done add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
  2. When the onions are soft add grated radish and stir, then add in turmeric powder, salt and cook, stirring occasionally until done and all the moisture has evaporated.Then turn off the stove & dish out the curry.
  3. Now grated radish curry is ready to serve, serve it with steamed rice or with roti.
