Ragi Carrot Punugulu/Finger Milllet Carrot Dumplings-Snacks Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Dosa Batter/Idly Batter
  • 1/2 cup Ragi flour/Finger Millet flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Carrot
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 sp chopped Green Chilli
  • 1 sp chopped Ginger
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • few chopped Curry Leaves
  • 1 pinch Cooking Soda
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add above all ingredients(except oil)and mix well, now the ragi carrot punugulu batter is ready.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, when hot take small portion of the mixed ragi batter and drop them into the hot oil. Once the punugulu turn golden brown then remove from the hot oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the same process with the remaining batter.
  3. Now ragi carrot dumplings/punugulu are ready, serve hot with tomato ketchup nd a cup of tea.Try this snack on a monsoon evening.
