Maida Burfi / All Purpose Flour Burfi – How to prepare Maida Burfi

1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Ghee
1 pinch Elaichi Powder(optional)
Heat ghee in a pan, when hot add maida and mix well with ghee, stirring continuously on low heat till it gives good aroma & turns light brown in color. Then remove from the flame and keep aside. Apply little ghee to a plate and keep aside.
In a bowl combine sugar, water and bring to a boil, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely, continue to cook on low flame till it becomes two string consistency.Then turn off the flame and pour the syrup to fried maida pan and mix well.
Mix everything well and stir constantly until it becomes a soft dough and starts to leave the sides of the pan then transfer to a greased plate. Spread evenly and let it leave for some time after that cut into desired pieces. Now festival sweet recipe maida burfi is ready, store them in an airtight container.
