Sajja Burelu / Pearl Millet Deep fried Pancakes - Millet Recipes

1 cup Bajra Flour/Pearl Millet Flour
1 cup grated Jaggery
1/2 cup Water
1 sp Ghee
1/2 sp Elaichi Powder
Oil for deep fry
Boil 1/2 cup of water in a bowl, add jaggery and cook over low heat till the jaggery melts, once the jaggery dissolves into water then strain the syrup. Again boil the syrup for 2 mins then remove from the flame, add bajra flour, elaichi powder, ghee and mix well, leave it to cool for 10 min.
Once done mix well and divide into small balls and keep aside, meantime heat oil in a khadai, when hot pat the ball to round shape like vada and deep fry in hot oil on medium flame until brown color. Do the same with the remaining dough balls, take them out and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Now soft and tasty bajra/sajja burelu are ready to serve.
