Bhindi Onion Curry / Okra Onion Stir Fry / Lady’s Finger Onion Sabji Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Lady's Finger/Bendakayalu
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • enough Salt
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, bhindi pieces and stir-fry for a couple of mins on medium flame. Fry until the bhindi pieces are half cook, then add chopped onion and mix well.
  2. Add turmeric powder and stir, cook on low-medium flame for 5 mins with cover, keep stirring in middle. Then add salt, red chilli powder and let it fry for another 3 mins without lid, till the curry is done. Now bhindi onion fry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with rice or roti.
