Pappu Chekkalu Recipe / Rice Crackers – How to make Andhra Special Snack Item Pappu Chekkalu

1 cup Rice Flour
2 sp Chana Dal
1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
1 sp Red Chilli Powder
Oil for deep fry
Wash and soak chana dal for 30 mins, once done drain them and keep aside. In a mixing bowl add rice flour, cumin seeds, salt, red chilli powder, soaked chana dal, 2 sp hot oil and mix well. Then add enough water and make into a thick paste. Mix well and divide the dough into small lemon sized balls and set aside.
Take one dough ball and pat it on a greased plastic paper and make a thin round, do the same with the remaining balls. Heat oil in a pan, when hot drop them carefully and fry until both sides are golden brown in color.Then remove from the oil and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil, repeat the same process with rest of the rounds.
Now Diwali special snack crispy crispy rice flour pappu chekkalu are ready, once cooled store them in an airtight container.
