Green Beans Besan Fry / Beans Senagapindi Kura / French Beans Besan Sabji

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Green Beans
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 sp grated Fresh Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 sp Besan/Gram Flour
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook chopped beans along with turmeric powder and enough salt, turn off the flame and allow it to cool, once cooled remove the lid and drain them.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, when done add curry leaves, chopped onion and stir-fry until soft, Then add cooked beans and mix well.
  3. Add red chilli powder, besan and mix everything well. Let it fry for a couple of mins until the raw smell goes off. Then add grated coconut and mix well, continue to cook for a while with cover. When done remove from the fire and transfer to a serving bowl and serve with rice.
