Bread Kaja / Sweet Kaja With Bread – How to Make Bread Kaja

  • 3 Bread Slices
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • Oil for deep fry
  • 1 sp Ghee for plate


  1. Take the bread slices and cut the sides, cut each slice into four triangle pieces and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan when hot deep fry the bread slices until crispy and remove from the pan, keep on a paper towel.
  3. In a bowl combine sugar, water and bring to a boil, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely. Continue to cook on low flame till it becomes two string consistency, turn off the flame and add elaichi powder and keep aside.
  4. Now dip each fried bread slice into sugar syrup and completely coat it with sugar syrup, place them on a greased plate. let it cool for a couple of mins. Now bread kaja is ready. Transfer into a serve plate and garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve.
