Ingredients
- 400 ml Whole Milk
- 4 sp Sugar
- 1 sp Gulkand/Rose Petal Preserve
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder(optional)
- few chopped Dry Fruits
- 2 drops Rose Essence
- 1 sp Ghee
Instructions
Pour milk in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil for 15 mins. Simmer over a medium flame, stirring continuously. Once the milk reduces to half, then add sugar to it and boil until the sugar completely dissolves in the milk.
Scrape the sides of the pan and stir the milk mixture from time to time. Once the milk thickens add gulkand and mix well.
Heat ghee in a small fry pan add chopped dry fruits and fry for a while, then add the fried nuts to milk mixture and mix well.
Lastly add 2 drops rose essence and mix very well, turn off the flame and allow it to cool completely. Now yummy yummy diwali special recipe gulkand basundi is ready, serve cool or normal.
