Madras Bachali Pulusukura

Ingredients

  • 2 Bunches Madras Bachali Leaves
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 sp Tamarind Pulp
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad dal
  • 1/2 sp Chana dal
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the leaves and cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a khadai add popu ingredients and fry.
  3. Once done add onion, green chillies & fry for 2 mins.
  4. Next add bachali aaku, curry leaves and stir well.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tamarind pulp, salt and mix well.
  6. Add 1/4 cup of water & continue to cook on low flame with lid.
  7. Cook for 7-8 mins, when done remove from the flame, and transfer into a serving bowl.
  8. Madras bachali pulusu kura is ready to serve, serve with rice or rotis.
