Milk Puri Recipe / Badam Milk Puri – how to make Pala Puri

Ingredients

  • 1 small cup All Purpose Flour/Maida
  • 2 sp Suji/Semolina
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Water for dough
  • Oil for deep fry
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 sp Elaich Powder
  • 3 sp MTR Badam Mix Powder
  • 2 sp chopped Badam and Pista
  • 1 long pinch Saffron

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add maida, suji, salt and mix together. Then add enough water and make a soft dough. Soak 1 pinch saffron in little milk and keep aside.
  2. In the meantime, boil milk in a sauce pan for 10 mins on low flame. Then add sugar, badam mix powder, Elaichi powder and stir well, continue boil for a couple of mins, turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
  3. Divide the dough into five equal portions to make small marble sized balls. Roll each into a small puri and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is hot deep fry them and place on a paper towel.
  4. Now soak the fried puri in the milk mixture, remove and place it in a plate. Repeat the same with each puri. Finally pour the leftover milk mixture to the top of the puris. After that, garnish with choped badam, pista, remaining saffron and sprinkle elaichi powder. Serve them cool or normal.
